Current Bill Summary

SB 362 - This act establishes the Missouri Tobacco Settlement Trust Fund for deposit of the tobacco case settlement proceeds. At least 25% of the moneys shall be appropriated annually to the public schools of this state, to be used in the discretion of the school districts and distributed to each district on a per eligible pupil basis. The moneys shall accrue to the operating funds of the school district, provided that up to 15% of the proceeds received by a district may be placed in its capital projects fund.
